The Idaho Legislature is currently considering three resolutions that would add Idaho to the list of states calling for a constitutional convention. All of these resolutions are dangerous and put our constitutional rights and freedoms at risk. SCR 112: This resolution calls for a constitutional convention with the purpose of proposing amendments to the U.S. constitution that would: (1) impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, (2) limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government, and (3) limit the terms of office for Congress.
Status: This resolution was approved by the Senate Judiciary & Rules Committee and is awaiting a vote in the Senate.
SCR 114: This resolution calls for a constitutional convention with the purpose of enacting term limits for members of Congress.

SCR 115: This resolution calls for a constitutional convention with the purpose of enacting a balanced budget amendment for the federal government.
